Frequently asked questions
Joining is simple! Contact us by email at bordercitybassmasters@gmail.com or through one of the current club members. To become part of an OBN Bass Nation Club you must obtain a B.A.S.S member at (https://bassmaster.secure.darwin.cx/I2BCAN1M) and we take care of the rest!
You can be as involved as you want! We meet as a club once a month to discuss items as a club, new initiatives, ideas, events, planning, guest speakers, etc. You can also join the Executive team during election time, or you can become a Director (Youth, Conservation, Marketing, etc.). Or you can join as a committee member to be involved but with less time committment.
No! Our current club membership is a 50/50 split between boaters and non-boaters. Sign up for an event and our tournament director will randomly pair you with a boater for the event. Note; that boaters & non-boaters will only fish together once during the season to keep it fair and the learning aspect high. Unless if it is a team designated event then you can choose your boater partner or ask the Tournament Director to pair you with someone.
We have a High School Club that follows the same framework as the B.A.S.S High School as well as OBN High School division. These young anglers can compete to make Team Ontario and compete within the B.A.S.S High School tournaments. Contact our Youth Director for more information, Jeff Wiles or bordercitybassmasters@gmail.com
